Transylvania area teens are invited to apply for internship & volunteer opportunities at Rise & Shine. Our interns work a set number of hours to master skill sets and can earn certificates and/or awards.
We know that community service is positively correlated with academic achievement. We strive to provide a dynamic internship environment that encourages skill development and confidence.
Rise & Shine provides structured internship and volunteer opportunities for our area’s youth to gain new skills that expand possibilities.

Reading Specialist Assistant
Reading Specialist Assistant is responsible for organizing and managing collections of journals, books, magazines, newspapers, electronic documents, and other data resources. At the primary and elementary school level, reading specialists assistants are also responsible for organizing mini lessons, guided reading and story time.
Enrichment Assistant
The Enrichment Assistant is under the supervision of the Enrichment Coordinator. The intern performs various duties as assigned for the operation of the STEM Enrichment activities and assisting where needed. No previous training or special knowledge of STEM procedures is required.
